Patsy (MacAulay) MacKinnon's creative diversity is evident in a national award for her 60' acrylic mural design for the Cape Breton Regional Hospital and her nomination at the national level for her watercolour illustrations of Maxine Trottier's childrens book, "The Voyage Of Wood Duck".
In 2006, Patsy became an elected member of the prestigious Canadian Society of Painters In Watercolour. She has also been profiled in the Canadian "Who's Who" since 2002.
Her watercolours have been selected for inclusion in the CSPWC Diploma Collection,the Canscaip National Tour, the Nova Scotia Art Bank, the Cape Breton University permanent collection and been commissioned for the nationally televised series "Pit Pony".
Her paintings have been accepted into provincial, regional, national and international juried shows.

The artist paints from her studio overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, in her hometown of New Waterford,Cape Breton.
